Description

Fmoc-D-alpha-(5-bromothienyl)alanine is a synthetic amino acid that is used in the synthesis of peptides or other organic compounds. It is an efficient, high yield, and multicomponent synthesis that involves the use of alkyl bromides, thiophene chlorides, and acyl chlorides as well as ammonium chloride. The reaction also requires thiocyanate and is carried out at room temperature. This process yields Fmoc-D-alpha-(5-bromothienyl)alanine in excellent yield with a purity of >99%.
