Fmoc-D-Lys(ivDde)-OH is a synthetic amino acid with the molecular formula C6H14N2O2. It is an agonist of the dopaminergic receptor and has been shown to reverse insulin resistance in animal models. It also has affinity for fatty acid metabolism, nervous system, and glucagon-like peptide receptors. Fmoc-D-Lys(ivDde)-OH is a heterocycloalkyl amino acid that contains a nitrogen atom at position 1 and a fatty acid at position 2. The isopropyl group at position 3 prevents this amino acid from being absorbed orally and must be given intravenously or intramuscularly.
