Product Information

Name:
Fmoc-Lys(Boc-Cys(Trt))-OH
Synonyms:
  • Na-Fmoc-N?-(S-trityl-N-Boc-L-cysteinyl)-L-lysine
Description:

Fmoc-Lys(Boc-Cys(Trt))-OH is a disulfide that can be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of tyrosine kinase activity. It is also used to study the signaling pathways involved in cell degranulation. Fmoc-Lys(Boc-Cys(Trt))-OH can be synthesized by reacting fluorescein with lysine, cysteine, and tryptophan. This dye is phosphorylated on serine and threonine residues to mimic the phosphorylation state of proteins in cells. The compound is then labeled using Cy5 or Cy3 to produce a fluorescent probe that can be used to detect tyrosine kinase activity in cells. Fmoc-Lys(Boc-Cys(Trt))-OH has been shown to bind to rbl2h3 cells, which are mouse mast cell line. Fluorescence microscopy
