Description

3-Fluoro-Benzamidine is a heterocycle that has a constant pharmacophore. It was analysed by dodecyl sephadex g-100 and showed an inhibitory effect on virus growth. 3-Fluoro-Benzamidine has been shown to have inhibitory effects on hepatitis C and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This drug binds to the active site of serine proteases, which prevents them from working properly, leading to cell death. In addition, 3-Fluoro-Benzamidine can act as a competitive inhibitor for dna replication and protein synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme DNA polymerase.
