3-Fluoropyridin-2-ylamine is a chemical substance with clinical studies in radiation and anti-infective agents. It has been shown to be effective against metastatic colorectal cancer, as well as autoimmune diseases. 3-Fluoropyridin-2-ylamine is used to inhibit the growth of pancreatic cancer cells and corneal epithelium cells. This drug is also being studied as a possible treatment for autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis and Multiple sclerosis. 3-Fluoropyridin-2-ylamine binds to monoclonal antibodies that are responsible for the destruction of white blood cells, leading to an inhibition of the immune system. This drug also has a chlorine atom in its structure that can bind to DNA, inhibiting the production of molecules needed for cell division.
