Description

Fmoc-(DL)-2-aminotetraline-2-carboxylic acid is a cationic antibiotic that has been shown to have bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It also has a hemolytic effect on red blood cells. It belongs to the class of amphipathic antibiotics, which have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions. Fmoc-(DL)-2-aminotetraline-2-carboxylic acid is metabolized by the liver and excreted in the urine, making it suitable for oral administration.
