Product Information
3-(4-Fluorophenyl)propan-1-ol is a 5-HT2C receptor antagonist. It binds to the receptor and blocks the binding of serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter that activates the receptor. 3-(4-Fluorophenyl)propan-1-ol has been shown to have affinity for 5-HT receptors and inhibit the binding of serotonin. This compound has been found to be selective for the 5-HT2C receptor subtype and exhibits only low affinity for other 5-HT receptors. In addition, it shows stereoselectivity when bound to the receptor and has been shown to modulate activity of enzymes such as monoamine oxidase (MAO).
