Description:

3-Fluoro-4-bromo-acetophenone (3FBA) is an optical, gaseous chemical that has been shown to be able to simplify preparative regimes. This compound is prepared by the electrolysis of a mixture of acetophenone and bromine, or by the reaction of benzene and chlorine. 3FBA can also react with nucleophilic halides such as chloride or methylmagnesium in order to produce substituted acetophenones. 3FBA is acidic and can be utilized as a potential agent for debromination.
