Product Information
- N-alpha-(9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl)-L-leucine pentafluorphenyl ester
Fmoc-Leu-OPfp is an azide-containing compound that has been used in the synthesis of a variety of peptides and proteins. This compound can be synthesized by a manual solid-phase synthesis, which involves the formation of pentafluorophenyl esters. The pentafluorophenyl esters are then reacted with l-threonine, which yields Fmoc-Leu-OPfp in high yield. This compound has been used for diagnostic purposes to detect trichloroacetimidates on microchips. Trifluoride was used as the activator and boron trifluoride etherate as a catalyst for this reaction.
