Fmoc-Val-OPfp is a fluoroaryl-protected pentafluorophenyl derivative of Val that has been designed for the synthesis of antibodies. It can be used in immobilized, lithographic, and transduction techniques to generate antibodies with novel properties. These properties include increased stability, reactivity, and solubility. The Fmoc-Val-OPfp residue can also be monitored during a reaction by using an ultraviolet (UV) detector or an infrared (IR) detector.
