Description:
Fmoc-Arg(Pbf)-Wang resin is a water-soluble, biodegradable polymer that is used in biomolecular synthesis. The polymer can be synthesized by the reaction of Fmoc-Arg(Pbf)-OH with Wang resin. It is highly reactive and has a high affinity for fatty acids and antibiotics. Fmoc-Arg(Pbf)-Wang resin has been shown to have antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). In addition, it has been shown to bind to tumor tissue and inhibit the growth of tumor cells. This resin also binds nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on the surface of target cells, which leads to an increased uptake of cells by macrophages.
