Fmoc-NH-PEG3-CH2COOH is an natriuretic agent that has been synthesized to inhibit tumor growth. It binds to the response elements for natriuretic peptides in the nucleus and prevents the binding of transcription factors. Fmoc-NH-PEG3-CH2COOH also inhibits inflammatory diseases, such as amines, by inhibiting the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). This drug has been shown to be effective in treating cancer and atrial fibrillation. Fmoc-NH-PEG3-CH2COOH has also been shown to have a positive effect on immune reactions, such as tetronic acid and benzylidene acetal. This drug has also been shown to prevent cancer therapy side effects.
