Product Information
- 1H-indole, 3-fluoro-
3-Fluoroindole is a phenylhydrazone that can be activated by fluorine. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of perfluorinated compounds. 3-Fluoroindole can act as a catalyst for bond cleavage, and has been shown to have kinetic, mechanistic, and thermodynamic properties. This compound is also stereospecific with respect to its interactions with anions. 3-Fluoroindole's activation energy is around 125 kJ/mol. The fluorine atom in the 3-fluoroindole molecule is responsible for this property.
