Description:
3-Fluoroazetidine is a synthetic compound that can be used as a precursor to organic compounds. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase, an enzyme that catalyzes the breakdown of cyclic nucleotides. 3-Fluoroazetidine is also an optical probe with a strong fluorescence emission at 460 nm and low absorption at 690 nm, which makes it useful for detection of acetaminophen in human cell lines. 3-Fluoroazetidine has also shown some ability to reduce mitochondrial membrane potential and block mitochondrial ATP production.
