Description:
2-Fluorobenzaldoxime is a compound that inhibits the enzyme β-glucosidase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of β-D-glucose to D-glucono-δ-lactone and D-glucose. 2FBA has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of β-glucosidase in a bioassay and also inhibits the biosynthesis of carotenoids. 2FBA has been analysed using hydrogen bond analysis, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The isomers of 2FBA are not distinguishable by these techniques.
