4-Fluorobenzotrichloride is a fluorinating reagent. It is used in organic synthesis as a source of fluorine and as an acid catalyst to promote the reaction with other compounds. 4-Fluorobenzotrichloride is used for the preparation of perfluoroalkanes, amines, alcohols, and chlorocarbons.
