Product Information
3-(3-Fluorophenyl)Propanal is a compound that has been shown to be a potent and selective 5-HT2C receptor agonist with affinity (Ki) of 0.6 nM. It has also been shown to be an antagonist at 5-HT2A and 5-HT2B receptors, but not at 5-HT1A, 5-HT1D, or 5-HT7 receptors. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)Propanal binds to the 5-ht2c receptor subtype, which is involved in the regulation of sleep and appetite. The compound was found to have a low affinity for other receptors such as the alpha adrenergic receptor, dopamine D1 and D2 receptors, serotonin transporter, and sigma receptor. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)Propanal also has a high selectivity for the 5-ht2c receptor over other subtypes of this type of receptor
