Description:
2-Fluoro-3-oxobutanoic acid is a biochemically active compound that is used to produce fluorinated organic compounds. 2-Fluoro-3-oxobutanoic acid has been shown to be synthesized by the action of carbonyl group on a liquid phase and in the presence of magnesium sulfate. The positron emission and the magnetic properties of this compound have also been studied. In addition, 2-fluoro-3-oxobutanoic acid has been used as an intermediate in the synthesis of butyric acid and diethyl ether.
