6-Fluorohexyl (Methyl) Ketone is a reactive, toxic chemical. It is an aldehyde that reacts with fluoride to form the 6-fluoroalkyl (methyl)sulfonyl fluoride. When it reacts with chloride, it forms 6-fluoroalkyl (methyl)thiochloroformates. 6-Fluorohexyl (Methyl) Ketone can also react with nitro groups to form the corresponding nitroso compounds. This compound has been shown to be lethal in mice and rats when given in high doses.
