Description:
6-Fluoro-6-Desoxyoxymorphone is a potent antitumor agent that is structurally related to oxymorphone. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of estrogen receptor positive breast cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, and inhibits the proliferation of recombinant cytochrome P450. 6-Fluoro-6-desoxyoxymorphone also inhibits the growth of human liver cancer cells and quinoline derivatives are synthesized from this compound. 6-Fluoro-6-desoxyoxymorphone has shown activity against rat striatal neurons, which may be due to its ability to stimulate the release of chemical reactions.
