N-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)Piperidine is a high affinity binding ligand that interacts with the 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) receptor. It has been shown to have pharmacologic activity, including as a nonselective 5-HT receptor antagonist. N-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)Piperidine is also an antagonist at 5-HT2C and 5-HT2A receptors. N-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)Piperidine can be used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other mood disorders.
