- 6-fluoro-3-methyl-1H-indazole
6-Fluoro-3-Methyl-1H-Indazole is a reactive molecule that is used in the synthesis of polymers. It is synthesized by reacting fluorine with formaldehyde and methyl indole. 6FMIT has high viscosity and, when activated with radiation or heat, becomes a skeleton for the polymerization of monocarboxylic acid chains. The polymer film can be crosslinked to give it thermal stability and water vapor resistance.
6FMIT can be used as a crosslinking agent in the synthesis of polymers, which are often used in servicing applications such as polymer films and coatings on metal surfaces.
