Description

4-(Fluorosulfonyl)benzoic acid (4-FSBA) is a chemical compound with a hydroxyl group that can be synthesized in different ways. 4-FSBA has been shown to inhibit the growth of human carcinoma cells by binding to epidermal growth factor receptors. It also inhibits the activity of enzymes such as glutathione reductase, cytochrome P450, and mycobacterium esterase. The analogues of 4-FSBA are active against bacteria and fungi and have shown antimicrobial resistance against a broad spectrum of microorganisms.
