Description

2-Fluoro-4-Demethoxydaunomycin (2FDA) is a synthetic analog of daunorubicin that has been shown to bind to the same sites as the natural substrate. It is a nucleotide analogue that binds to the anthracycline binding site, shifting the equilibrium towards the product. 2FDA has also been shown to have an intensifying effect on chemical shift, which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with arginine and lysine residues. 2FDA has been used for the synthesis of nucleotides, equimolar with natural nucleotides at equilibrium conditions.
