8-Fluoroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is a heterocyclic compound that has been shown to be an allosteric modulator of the GABA receptor. This compound has been shown to bind to the ligand site of the GABA receptor in a bioisosteric fashion and as such, it is considered a GABA receptor antagonist. 8-Fluoroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine also influences the nervous system by modulating the activity of certain neurotransmitters. The compound is known for its anti-nervous properties and can be used to treat epilepsy or epilepsy associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. 8-Fluoroimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine has a five-membered heteroaromatic ring with one nitrogen atom and six carbon atoms. It can exist in two tautomeric forms: 1H-[1,2]oxazine
