Product Information

Name:
6-Fluoro-5-Vinyl-3-Pyridinamine
Description:

6-Fluoro-5-Vinyl-3-Pyridinamine is an inhibitor of phosphatidylinositides. It inhibits the synthesis of phosphatidylinositides, which are a class of lipids that play a role in cell signaling and membrane trafficking. 6-Fluoro-5-Vinyl-3-Pyridinamine is not active against uninfected cells, but does inhibit the production of glucosaminoglycans by monocytes and has an inhibitory effect on endogenous phosphatidylinositide metabolism. This compound also inhibits gene transcription in thp-1 cells and may have antiinflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα).
