Description:
2-(Fluoromethyl)-1H-benzimidazole is a halogenated aromatic compound. It is used in the production of fluoropolymers and as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals. 2-(Fluoromethyl)-1H-benzimidazole reacts with radicals to form a methylene radical and a fluorine radical. The methylene radical can react with oxygen, forming hydroperoxides, which are useful precursors to commercial products such as polyethers.
