Product Information
- Hydrazine, (2-fluoro-4-nitrophenyl)- (9CI)
(2-Fluoro-4-Nitrophenyl)Hydrazine is an organic solvent that is used in the synthesis of surfactants. It has been shown to be toxic for cultured murine cells and it has antimicrobial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-sensitive S. aureus. The toxic effect of this compound on cultured cells may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis, leading to cell death by apoptosis. This compound also inhibits the growth of MRSA in vitro, with IC50 values ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 µg/mL.
