Description:
2-Fluoro-3-phenyl-2-propenoic acid is a β-unsaturated acid that has been synthesized by the olefination of 2,4-dichlorobenzene with phenylboronic acid. The compound is biologically active and has been shown to be stereoselective in its elimination. This compound can also be used for the intramolecular esters formation and nucleophilic reactions. It was first synthesized in 1977 by Synlett.
