Product Information
- Phenol, 3-(1-(aminomethyl)-2-fluoroethenyl)-, (E)-
(E)-beta-Fluoromethylene-m-Tyramine is a monoamine that has been shown to have an irreversible inhibition of monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) and 5-hydroxytryptamine 1A (5-HT1A). It has also been shown to have a depressant effect on the central nervous system, which may be due to its ability to inhibit dopamine release. This compound is metabolized by decarboxylation in the liver, resulting in (E)-beta-(4'-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)methyltryptamine. In urine samples, it can be detected after 1 hour and its concentration peaks at 3 hours. There is no detectable level of this drug in urine samples after 24 hours. This compound binds with high affinity to dopamine receptors and with low affinity to serotonin receptors.
