4-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazole is a semicarbazone derivative that can be synthesized from 2-fluoroaniline. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of human hepatoma cells and mouse fibroblast cells. 4-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazole has also been shown to induce apoptosis in the liver cancer cell lines BEL-7402 and SMMC-7721, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis by binding to ribosomes. This compound has also been found to have antimicrobial properties against bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
