Product Information

Name:
3-(Fluorocarbamoylamino)Propanoic Acid
Description:

3-(Fluorocarbamoylamino)Propanoic Acid (3-FPAPA) is a cytosolic protein that has been shown to have low expression in cancer cells. 3-FPAPA has been shown to inhibit the growth of human colorectal cancer cells in culture and in rodents, although it does not affect normal cells. 3-FPAPA appears to exert its anti-cancer effects by binding to 5-HT3 receptors on the surface of cancer cells and activating them, which leads to a decrease in cell proliferation. This drug is also able to form conjugates with other drugs such as doxorubicin, making it more effective at treating multiple types of cancers.
