5-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3,4-Tetraazole is a refluxing agent that can be synthesized by reacting an azide with a Grignard reagent. This reaction product is then reacted with toluene and hydrochloric acid in the presence of an organic solvent (e.g., benzene or xylene) to produce 5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3,4-tetraazole. The compound has been shown to be an effective reagent for the synthesis of biphenyl.
