Product Information

Name:
3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride
Synonyms:
  • 3-Fluoro-4-Nitro-Benzenesulfonyl Chloride
Description:

3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a transcriptional inhibitor that blocks the activity of the bromodomain and other transcription factors. This inhibition leads to a decrease in transcription, which regulates cellular function and homeostasis. 3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride has been shown to inhibit cellular activity at low concentrations, but this inhibition is reversed by increasing the concentration. 3-Fluoro-4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride also inhibits the binding of transcriptional subunits to DNA, thereby preventing nucleosome assembly and
promoting gene expression. This drug also has an antigenic property that may be useful for treating cancer.
