Product Information
2-Fluoro-4-Methylpyridine-3-boronic acid (2FMPA) is used as a reagent in the synthesis of organic compounds. It is often used to extract or recrystallize organic substances. 2FMPA can be synthesized by reacting 3,5-dimethylaniline with 2,4-dichloropyridine and boron trifluoride diethyl etherate. The resulting product can be purified using ethyl acetate as an extracting agent, evaporating the solution, and then adding hydrochloric acid dropwise to the solution. This reagent is a nucleophilic compound that reacts with electrophiles such as alkenes to form alkyl halides.
