Product Information
Fluoroperoxyformic acid fluoro-carbonyl ester is a molecule that has been shown to have homologous properties with other compounds. The dihedral angle between the two molecules is very similar, with only a small difference in the geometry of the two molecules. This compound can be photodecomposed by irradiation and it decomposes into hydrogen peroxide and carbon dioxide, and can also be decomposed thermally. Fluoroperoxyformic acid fluoro-carbonyl ester is a gas at room temperature, as well as being peroxides and polyatomic molecules. It has been shown to react with oxalyl chloride to form dioxalyl fluoride (C2H3O2Cl2), which has been shown to be reactive enough to oxidize alcohols and phenols to corresponding ketones or carboxylic acids.
