Description:
2-Fluorocyclohexanol is a pyridinium monomer with two stereoisomers. It has been shown to be a good hydrogen fluoride scavenger and is used as an additive for rubber compounds. 2-Fluorocyclohexanol can also be used in the synthesis of ferroelectric polymers, copolymerization, and 3-chloroperoxybenzoic acid. The chemical structure of 2-fluorocyclohexanol is expressed in its nmr spectra. It is synthesized by ring opening of cyclohexanone with hydrogen fluoride and stannous octoate.
