7-Fluoro-6-amino-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one is an herbicide that inhibits the growth of plants by inhibiting photosynthesis. It has been shown to have a reaction temperature of 140°C and a reaction time of 10 minutes. 7-Fluoro-6-amino-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one is catalyzed by raney nickel and hydrogen gas, which are required for the conversion of methanol to methoxyacetic acid. This substance is also catalyzed by phase HPLC with a catalyst such as palladium on charcoal or platinum on carbon.
