4-(4-Fluorophenyl)Diazenyl-N,N-Dimethylaniline (FDDA) is a casein fluorogenic probe that emits light when it reacts with radioactive isotopes. FDDA is used in the diagnosis of cancer, as well as in research on radiation exposure. This compound has been shown to bind to mammalian cells and mitochondria. FDDA does not cause any carcinogenic effects in rats at doses up to 5 mg/kg per day for 2 years.
