Product Information
1-(5-Fluoro-2,4-dinitrophenyl)-4-methylpiperazine (1FDNP) is a chiral high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometric (MS) analytical reagent that can be used to monitor the reaction of amines with acid methyl esters. It is a new analytical tool for the analysis of amines in complex matrices such as pharmaceuticals or pesticides. 1FDNP is a very sensitive reagent and can detect femtomolar levels of amines. 1FDNP is prepared by reacting 5-fluoro-2,4-dinitrophenylacetic acid with N,N'-dimethylpropylene diamine. The reaction monitoring technique identifies the analyte by the elution time and retention time.
