Description:
1-(2-Fluorophenyl)-2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-3-carbaldehyde is a corrosion inhibitor that belongs to the class of phenols. It has been shown to be effective for the protection of aluminium against corrosion by hydrochloric acid and by other strong acids. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm was used to measure the adsorption kinetics at different concentrations and temperatures. The parameters of this isotherm were analysed and the kinetic efficiency was calculated. The Langmuir isotherm was also used to analyse the adsorption of 1-(2-fluorophenyl)-2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrole-3-carbaldehyde on aluminium.
