Product Information
4-(4-Fluoro-2-methyl-1H-indol-5-yloxy)-6-methoxyquinazolin-7-ol is a synthetic alkylating agent that has been shown to be effective against cell lines that are resistant to cediranib, an antiangiogenic drug, and AZD2171, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It binds to the DNA of cancer cells and forms intramolecular bonds with the phenolic group on the molecule. This process is called alkylation. 4-(4-Fluoro-2-methylindol)-5(3H)-one (C) reacts with borate (B) in an ether solvent to form 4-(4fluoro 2methyl indol 5yloxy) 6methoxyquinazoline (D). The reaction between D and tetraphenylborane (A) in an ether solvent results in the formation of 4-(
