Description:
3-Fluoro-4-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]-1,2-Benzenediol is a fluorinated analog of epinephrine. It is an agonist for β adrenoceptors and has been shown to increase blood pressure and femoral blood flow in anesthetized dogs. 3-Fluoro-4-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]-1,2-Benzenediol also has selectivity for α adrenoceptors, which may be due to its structural analog of norepinephrine. The mechanism of action is not yet fully understood.
