It is able to inhibit the growth of HT-29 cells at IC50 values of 1.0 μM, and has a strong cytotoxic effect on these cells. 6-Fluoroindole-2-carboxylic acid also has an anti-tumor effect on smmc 7721 cells. This compound can be used as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancer.
