Fluorinated butane has a high boiling point, low toxicity and is non-flammable. It is also chemically inert and has a high dielectric strength. Fluorinated butane can be used as a coupling fluid in computations of the equation of state for newtonian fluids, including the force equation. The coupling algorithm is based on the use of square integrals to compute the newtonian fluid equations. Computational results are obtained by solving the coupled system of equations via iteration or by using an explicit method.
