Product Information
Cis-4-methoxycyclohexanamine is a pyrimidine derivative that has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties. This drug is a potent inhibitor of the human cardiac Kv1.5 potassium channels with an IC50 of 0.6 μM, which may be due to its ability to bind to the S3 voltage sensor in the channel and block ion flow through these channels. Cis-4-methoxycyclohexanamine has also been shown to have activity against cancer cells in vitro, but this effect has not yet been demonstrated in vivo. Cis-4-methoxycyclohexanamine is metabolized by reductive amination and mediated via catalysis by cytochrome P450 enzymes, including CYP2D6, CYP2C9, and CYP3A4, as well as nonenzymatic pathways such as hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases.
