Product Information
Glycine Bisphosphonate HBr is a potentiometric titrant that reacts with metal ions to form an insoluble salt. Glycine Bisphosphonate HBr is used in the analysis of organic esters and alkylidene epoxides, as well as for the quantitative determination of ethane. This reagent is useful for determining the relative acidity or basicity of a solution. It has been found to be selective for diphosphonic acids and phosphinic acids when titrating with an alkaline solution, while being less selective in acidic solutions. The reaction between Glycine Bisphosphonate HBr and a radical yields a phosphinate ester.
