Product Information
Geranyl pyrophosphate tris ammonium salt (GPTA) is a naturally occurring compound that has been found to have anti-cancer properties. GPTA is able to induce apoptosis in tumor cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis and inducing cell cycle arrest, which may be due to GPTA's ability to bind to the enzyme topoisomerase 1. GPTA has shown high efficacy in cell cultures and with recombinant cells. It has a safety profile that has been validated through its use in clinical trials and animal studies. The molecule is also able to penetrate the cell membrane and therefore may be more effective than other drugs. It is also able to inhibit the transport of glucose into cancer cells, which may lead to increased uptake of GPTA.
