L-gamma-Glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-L-lysine (GLC) is an antioxidant and a component of the human antiserum. It has been shown to have a symmetric, homologous structure that contains four amino acids: L-glutamic acid, L-cysteine, L-lysine, and glycine. GLC has also been shown to be a part of collagen gel with the ability to transfer collagen molecules. This protein is encoded by the gene CGL1 and is found in hamsters.
