Glycidyl laurate is a fatty acid that has reactive hydroxyl and hydroxy groups. This product is used as a cross-linking agent in the production of polycarboxylic acids, analytical methods, and films. It can be used as a sample preparation for film-forming polymers, water vapor, and inorganic acids in chemical stability tests. Glycidyl laurate is also used as a viscosity modifier in lubricants.
